A few months ago, Kansas City Chiefs owner Clark Hunt was the owner of a team that finished last in the AFC West.
Hunt is now the owner in Dallas and the team is about to host the NFC Championship Game, which has been the only other chance to make a Super Bowl appearance since 2000.
Hunt has long wanted to see Kansas City win a Super the last time it was a winner.
Now that his team is in the NFC, Hunt is thinking about what he thinks would be a more realistic chance to win the championship.
“I’ve talked about it in a couple of different ways,” Hunt said in an interview with the Dallas Morning News.
“One is that I would like to see us have a chance to have a Super bowl appearance.
Hunt’s team is on the brink of a second straight playoff appearance. “
Secondly, the chance to be in the playoffs for the first time in history, and I think that’s pretty darn good.”
Hunt’s team is on the brink of a second straight playoff appearance.
The Chiefs beat the New England Patriots last week to reach the AFC Championship Game and beat the Denver Broncos last week for the NFC championship.
Now, Hunt has an opportunity to show his team the way in what is becoming a long season for the franchise.
“It’s one of those things that I’m not sure I want to look back on in the long run and say, ‘Yeah, it was just a couple months ago,’ ” Hunt said.
“But you can’t just say it’s just a few months.
“The last few years have been a pretty impressive run for us, and hopefully we can do that again.””
We’ve been playing at a high level all year. “

We’ve been playing at a high level all year.
I think you can look at this season and say we’ve made the playoffs in each of the last four years.
That’s pretty impressive.
“And I’m very optimistic that we’re going to do that in 2017.”
Hunt has long been a big proponent of the idea of a Superbowl appearance.
Since moving to Dallas in 2002, Hunt had long been one of the most passionate owners in the league.
He spent five seasons in Kansas City, which had a winning record in six of those seasons and then had a losing record in each season.
Then in 2015, Hunt and the franchise moved to Dallas and built a team around star quarterback Dak Prescott.
Prescott is now one of only two quarterbacks in NFL history to have 20,000 passing yards, 100 touchdown passes and at least 10,000 rushing yards.
Hunt said Prescott’s skillset is a major reason the Chiefs have improved to an impressive level.
“He’s a dynamic player.
He has all the attributes you look for in a quarterback.
He’s got the arm strength, the vision, the ball skills, the accuracy, the poise,” Hunt told the Dallas Evening News.
